new Paris-inspired drawings featuring ye olde Skulls & Roses

 In September and October I made a trip to Paris. It changed something in me. I had always looked upon the symbols of skulls and roses as below me, somehow. As hack machine tattoo sailor and prisoner emblems. But these symbols are way older than that. Paris inspired me to start playing with them, and I've fallen in Love.

Chintsa East Beach Entrance Mural touch up & new mural

In 2014 I completed a series of murals at our local beach entrance - see the original blog post 

This year I solicited funding from my community to re-paint the main facing wall with a Kolam designed by Hema Kannan of The Lotus Shakti, including the original monkeys from the previous mural playing with a bottle of bubbles and a haiku that I wrote for a friend. I also touched up one of the inner walls with new pinks and oranges...
