ABOUT: I eat walls for breakfast
I paint and draw what I like and love. I don't think my art is anymore phenomenally profound beyond the immense magical and mysterious existence of Life itself.
I used to believe I had a message or duty as an artist; less so as I get older. I just love re-presenting the beauty one can find in this world, giving more delight for eyes to perceive.
If anything I believe my own art is leaning more and more towards symbols and images that reconnect humans to the Land and to Spirit, into pictures that remind us of that connection.
My process often involves taking an image I access through Image Nation and then finding photographic reference to render it accurately.
Art is one of the oldest things humans have done and I feel like I'm just aligned with that, whatever it means.
I'm probably a draughtsperson more than a painter. I love painting, but I love drawing more. Drawing is my highest excitement. And tattooing is the next level - the skin is the most incredible canvas to draw into.
I had a mantra for a while: "I eat walls for breakfast."
Meaning: I love painting on big walls.
I facilitate group workshops in drawing and painting, as well as offer private one-on-one mentorships.
I am open to commissions.
