suffrir

SUFFRIR - from Old French/Latin 'to bear': to undergo, experience, be subjected to.
I take this to mean something about the basic experience of being - a neutral state, as opposed to the modern connotation of suffering as being something inherently negative, burdensome and heavy.

Ink on a wood block - SOLD

traum

I just moved home again.  I feel like a bonsai that has been re-potted. This is possibly what it looked like when I was feeling it.  A pen sketch on an old wine box

'Traum' is German for 'dream'. Is it somehow related to the Greek 'trauma-matos' for 'wound'?
